Vladimír Turček

Vladimír Turček advises the fund on strategy and energy. He combines ten years in an energy group with executive roles in public administration and in the management of large healthcare institutions — environments in which investments are judged by regulation, payback and the verifiability of every figure.

At the Západoslovenská energetika group he led corporate development from 2011 to 2014: acquisitions in power generation, project management of new electricity and heat sources, coordination of group strategy and the operation of four biogas companies (Cetín, Hont, Ladzany, Horovce). He defined and implemented the group's e-mobility strategy. Earlier, across two terms, he headed the strategy and regulation department — price regulation, compliance, energy legislation and dealings with the Ministry of Economy and the regulatory office.

From 2015 to 2016 he was General Director of the Industry and Trade Section at the Slovak Ministry of Economy, responsible for investment aid, the development of Slovak industry, bilateral economic relations and the exercise of shareholder rights in state-owned energy companies; he sat on the bodies of SARIO, the Recycling Fund and MH Manažment.

In healthcare he was Economy Director of Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa (2016–2020), then Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Board and CEO, running planning, controlling, budgeting, accounting, risk analysis and the statutory audit. At the Ministry of Finance he served as topic leader for healthcare in the Value for Money unit, and most recently as Economy and Strategy Director — Deputy Director of University Hospital Bratislava.
